Spectacular size and resounding tone grace this unique, hand-crafted Large OM Singing Bow. Engraved with Om symbol, this bowl has a resonating sound that will uplift your heart and relax your mind. Singing bowls are used in yoga, music therapy, sound healing, and traditional religious ceremonies. In the Buddhist tradition, they are played to signal the beginning and the end of silent meditation cycles. Like a bell, the tone is produced by striking the side of the bowl with a wooden mallet. By running the mallet around the bowl - only with slight pressure - a pure tone will eventually rise. When this happens, the bowl is said to sing - hence its name.

Om is the cosmic sound of the universe, the sound of all sounds, the origin of being and the end of being, the first and last word of creation. According to Hindu tradition, everything in the manifested universe has it's source in Om, the Primordial Vibration: all material objects, all living beings, all spiritual teachings, scriptures, knowledge and language. Om is God, and God is Om.

    • 1 Sleeve (Garment Measurement)

      Sleeve length measured center back of neck to end of sleeve.

    • 2 Chest / Bust

      Measure at the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

    • 3 Waist

      Measure at the smallest part of your waist. This is usually below the rib cage and above the hip bone.

    • 4 Hip

      Measure at the fullest part of your seat, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

    • 5 Outseam (Garment Measurement)

      Measured from top of the waistband to the hemline.

    • 6 Inseam (Garment Measurement)

      Measured from the crotch of pants down to the hem of the pants leg.
